These fine Instruments, selected with great care from the principal London Manufactories, comprise all the most approved and fashionable description of COTTAGES, GRAND SQUARES, SEMI, BOUDOIR, and FULL GRANDS, in Rich Walnut and Rosewood Cases, by BROADWOOD, COLLARD, ERARD, KIRKMAN, and other esteemed Makers, and the greater part of them having been out for one season only, just sufficiently long to test their standing capabilities, are in this respect SUPERIOR TO NEW, as it is well known that thoroughly New Instruments, even by the Best Makers, do not stand so well in Tune as those that have been a short time in use.

"LARGE EXTENSION OF PREMISES. - PATERSON & Sons respectfully inform their numerous clients and the public generally that in order to meet the requirements of their extensive business they have acquired the adjacent commodious premises recently occupied by the Edinburgh Subscription Library, which have been entirely remodelled and handsomely decorated.

The large saloon, which will be occasionally used for concert purposes, is in the meantime stocked with a magnificent selection of Pianofortes by all the greatest English, Continental, and American makers (for the most important of which they are the sole importers for Scotland) ; and while the great makers are largely represented, the better class of cheaper makers find a large place, and a visit by intending purchasers to their new premises will be well repaid.
